Sarpino’s Pizzeria Brentwood Bay is looking to expand our team and looking for Full-time and Part-time line cooks and prep cooks. Our goal is to provide quality service while maintaining highest standards established by Sarpino’s Pizzeria Canada. As our Flagship corporate store quality and service is of utmost importance to us. We set the standards for our future and current franchisee stores. Besides our regular operation as a pizza store this location will also provide training to our future franchisees and their staff. We are looking to add energetic, passionate and dedicated team members to our corporate team.

The position requires Line cook / prep cook to prepare and cook variety of foods including pizza, pasta, donairs, salads etc. You will be trained on different stations leading up to running the entire kitchen by yourself during slower times as well as working with a team during busy periods.

This job requires dedication and passion towards making quality food with utmost care. We keep each other accountable and inspire to improve every day.

Following are the main duties you will perform depending on your shift:

- Prep Dough, produce, meats and sauces based on daily par levels.
- Cook food based on customer orders and preferences in timely fashion.
- Follow our daily, weekly and monthly checklists in regard to opening, closing and maintaining the restaurant hygiene and cleanliness.
- Train and mentor new kitchen staff.
- Maintain highest quality standard by carefully prepping and following FIFO procedure to maintain freshness and minimizing waste.
- Maintain inventory of prepped food, food packaging items and cleanliness on your station throughout your shift and notify prep staff of any food items that are running low.
- Follow supervisor or manager lead to maintain optimum productivity throughout your shift.
- Do daily temperature checks as require by VIHA guidelines.
- Follow food and health safety guidelines.
- Clean and Maintain kitchen equipment by following daily, weekly equipment maintenance and cleaning checklists.
- Provide support to other kitchen staff if they need assistance.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of a high school, post secondary education or an apprenticeship program will be an asset.
- Food safe Level 1 certificate from BC an asset.
- Must have positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow as part of the team.
- Must be willing/able to work weekdays, weekends, and late nights.
