Objective:
The Kitchen Cook will ensure that all areas within the Kitchen Department consistently provide quality service consistent with Best Western standards. To ensure prompt efficient service to our clients.

Wages/package:

- We offer an excellent hourly wages and will commensurate with experience plus gratuities

- Wage range $16-$19 depending on experience and Red Seal

**Responsibilities**:
To deliver quality products while maintaining sanitation standards and maintaining a safe environment.
- To prepare meals for restaurant and/or assist in Banquets
- To set an example of good grooming, punctuality, friendliness and knowledge
- To maintain a good relationship with other Departments and kitchen Staff
- To perform paperwork as required
- To assist maintaining inventory levels and month end inventories with the Chef
- To foster a “team player attitude”
- To maintain all kitchen service areas in a clean and orderly condition
- To ensure that all equipment is in safe working condition
- To be fully trained in emergency procedures.
- To strictly follow healthy and safety regulations.
- To perform any other duties as directed by the management.
Qualifications:

- A Red Seal will be considered an asset, or a minimum of 2 years of cooking experience.
- Cooking experience in a hotel environment will be considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for quality.
- Work well under pressure in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Professional, well organized and results-orientated, able to work on own or in a team atmosphere.
- Must be able to professionally interact by communicating effectively with clients for any food questions, allergies, or explain dishes where and when needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour
