An exciting career opportunity awaits you at our _New Westminster Surgical Centre_ for an experienced Clinical Housekeeping Aide. We are looking for a high energy individual to join a positive and compassionate fast-paced work environment, who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Clean and disinfect clinical and non-clinical areas, including operating rooms, offices, washrooms, and common areas
- Remove and dispose of garbage, recycling, soiled linen, and bio-hazard waste
- Vacuum carpets, clean and polish floors, and disinfect walls and beds
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the facility and various general facility maintenance
**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a medical facility required
- A comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and demonstrate a professional and caring approach in dealing with patients, co-workers and supervisors
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality relating to patients, colleagues and the operations of the facility
- Must be capable of working under pressure and performing a wide range of duties that may require independent action
- Fluent in written and verbal English with strong communication and organizational skills
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
