We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Associate to join our SickKids team. The AP Associate is responsible for processing, organizing and reconciling a high-volume AP portfolio. You will ensure that all invoices are processed in a timely fashion with a high degree of accuracy to ensure all payments are made within terms. You will investigate and respond to any inquiries from external vendors or internal clients to reach a satisfactory outcome.

**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**
- Ensure accurate processing of all invoices and ensure correct approvals have been received
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies
- Resolve all vendor queries and provide the necessary follow-up
- Manage all cross functional issues related to AP, such as EDI (electronic data interchange), match exceptions, pricing, receiving, quantity, etc.
- Work closely and coordinate with stakeholders in Purchasing and Information Management & Technology to resolve any issues
- Develop good working relationship with the Procurement Department
- Investigate payment problems for potential errors and/or discrepancies
- Prepare and process monthend journal entries and accruals
- Retrieve invoices from online vendor portals in a timely manner
- Ensure supporting documentation is accurately review and attached to all records
- Provide backup support to other Accounts Payable Associates
- Strictly follow the procedures and policies concerning general accounting tasks
- Other duties as assigned

**Here’s What You’ll Need**
- Post-secondary Diploma/Certification in Accounting
- 1-3 years of experience working in an Accounts Payable
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven outstanding customer service skills
- Able to manage a diverse and changing workload in a demanding fast-paced environment
- Solid relationship building & team-spiritedness
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Healthcare experience an asset
- Experience with PeopleSoft an asset

**Job Type**: Permanent full-time, 35 hours per week, includes 3 weeks vacation, health & dental benefits, and access to a defined benefit pension plan.
