District Team Lead

Overview: **District Team Lead,** **Ottawa West** **(Full time)** We are looking for a leader. Not just any leader, but one who can inspire, coach and develop their team members by driving sales and ensuring our customers always get an exceptional experience. As a Team Leader, it is your responsibility to ensure that your primary location, as well as your assigned locations, are up to the standard of excellence required for the customer experience; you have great operational skills, know how to support the OSL brand and achieve our customers' goals. You lead by example and always create an environment where team members feel valued, can grow and function well as a team. As a team leader, it is imperative that you interact with your District Manager/Territory Manager in a consistent manner with open communication. **Primary Duties and Responsibilities** - Ability to manage up to 4 remote locations, while successfully managing own wireless center - Successfully build a team that is able to operate independently with mínimal supervision from their leader - Have team members who take initiative and can manage the day-to-day operations in the store - Responsible for the achievement of all key business objectives including sales, performance reviews, customer experience, operational compliance in store and designated location - Proactively create strategies for underperforming designated locations and recognize successes - Ensure all locations have completed the necessary training and coaching requirements - Partner with the District Manager to ensure that all designated locations are staffed according to established guidelines - Collaborate with the District Manager to ensure that all hires are completed proactively using OSL guidelines. - Successfully manage the execution of daily operational activities including field visit reports to assigned locations, team communications, payroll processes, performance management, and human resource related activities - Respond to all requests and initiatives from the District Manager - Participate in special projects as required **Job Requirements** - Strong management, coaching and leadership skills developed in a retail organization; in the wireless or electronics industry is an asset - Ability to proactively recruit, select and hire team members; ability to work with the District Manager and strategically develop a succession plan for the district - Be diplomatic with strong communication and presentation skills to effectively train and motivate team members and peers - Detail-oriented and results-driven individual with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Organizational and planning skills with the ability to organize and schedule, develop realistic action plans within time and resource constraints - Decision making and problem solving skills - Strong customer service orientation - Understanding of "world class" retail merchandising - Proven ability to drive sales and service with the field team - Strong attention to detail - Flexible to work evenings and weekends, depending on business needs - Able to travel 1-2 days per week within your assigned district **Physical demands of the job** - Ability to drive and travel to stores during the day and evening - Ability to lift 30-50 pounds - Ability to stand for long periods of time **Disclaimer**: The preceding job description is designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this job.
