**About the Role**

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced **Retail / Tap Room Manager** to oversee the daily operations of our new Bedford Tap Room. This individual will lead all aspects of our front-of-house operations, including the tap room, retail area, and food service, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales, and fostering a strong team culture.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, has a strong sense of ownership, and is passionate about craft beverages, food, and local community engagement.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operations & Floor Management**

• Oversee daily operations of the tap room, retail store, and restaurant area.
• Ensure seamless execution of food, beverage, and retail service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment at all times.
• Ensure facilities—including brewing operations—are in excellent working condition.

**Team Leadership & HR**

• Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team focused on delivering top-tier customer service.
• Schedule staff effectively to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
• Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and motivation.
• Lead by example with a strong floor presence during peak hours.

**Inventory & Product Management**

• Track and manage inventory across food, bar, and retail categories.
• Order supplies in a timely manner to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure all products—especially fresh goods—are rotated and displayed appropriately.

**Customer Experience & Brand Management**

• Deliver a best-in-class guest experience by resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Build strong customer relationships and gather feedback to inform improvements.
• Support and execute promotional events and new product launches.
• Maintain high merchandising standards that align with seasonal and brand strategies.

**Collaboration & Strategy**

• Work closely with the Chef to align menu offerings with customer preferences and profitability goals.
• Partner with Marketing to execute local promotions, events, and campaigns.
• Liaise with the Brewmaster to stay informed of brewing operations and product availability.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, Marketing) to support company-wide goals.

**Qualifications & Experience**

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in bar/restaurant operations.
• 3-5 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage customer service excellence, and drive results.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with inventory management systems and POS systems is an asset.

**Working Conditions**

• Ability to lift and transport kegs and flats weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable standing for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Evening and weekend availability required.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

**Experience**

• Restaurant management: 3 years (required)
