We are currently recruiting a** Lead Hand Labourer **for one of our **Buildings** projects in **Toronto**

**Responsibilities**:

- Installation of handrails and other safety items
- Install hoarding to interior of the building using steel studs and plywood with plastic etc.
- Setting up scaffolding
- Traffic control, escorting in deliveries, etc.
- Minor supervision of the subtrades and site safety
- Opening and closing of the site (doors, gates, etc.)
- Confined space work is involved in certain areas
- Able to operate equipment (scissor lift, articulated lift, skid steer, telehandler, etc.)
- Winter heating requirements
- Setting up site fencing, signage, managing temporary power with subtrades
- Knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems is an asset
- Assistance with safety program
- Client and subtrade communication
- Site clean up and organization
- Good understanding of being in a sanitized area
- Reliable self starter - will be working in a high-level safety environment with strict rules and regulations

**Requirements**:

- Must have a minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience in the construction industry
- Must have safety tickets: Basic of Supervision, Aerial Work Platform, WHMIS,
Working at Heights Ticket, and 4 Step Safety Certificate
- Experience Operating Equipment (Telehandler, Skid Steer, Scissor/ Articulated Lifts)
- Able to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry, walk on uneven ground
- Capable of learning through on the job training
- Reliable transportation
- Proficient reading and writing skills
