**Filter Bag Manufacturing Floor**

**Lead Hand/Material Handler**

The position of Lead Hand will be operating in the filter bag area as well as in the warehouse and shipping/receiving dock at times.

Wage to be negotiated based on skill and ability.
- Shipping and receiving of products (packing skids, attaching proper documents, unloading shipments, checking paperwork in a timely manner)
- Lifting of ≤30 lbs.
- Material handling
- Production scheduling
- Organizing and rearranging storage areas for best use of space
- Closing boxes of completed product and prepping for shipment
- Housekeeping, general cleaning and upkeep
- Ensuring that all direct labour employees are supplied with the products and equipment required to keep them on their job stations
- Prioritizing and organizing the floor according to the schedule requirements
- General understanding (after in house training) of the workstations to assist team in completing goals and deadlines
- Training and guidance to new and existing employees (or properly pairing up the appropriate team member for this duty)

- Attention to detail, maintaining and increasing quality

- General math knowledge, ability to read a tape measure
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset but not required (for general maintenance and troubleshooting on sewing machines and other equipment)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
