**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead the close off process and prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and related schedules & notes.
- Conduct variance analysis of actual performance against budget and forecast.
- Drive efficiencies in process, establishing best practice for our finance department
- Support all aspects of financial planning, operational reporting, ad hoc financial/business analysis, funding analysis, project management and financial modeling
- Support accounting research to provide recommendations, ensuring the Company complies with all areas of ASPE and in accordance with established Paladin Security Group policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external auditors to provide them with the necessary information for the annual audit
- Ensure appropriate systems and controls are implemented and maintained, and lead on any system implementation impacting financial systems
- Provide mentorship and supervise accounting staff

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- CPA professional accounting designation
- A minimum of 5 years progressive accounting experience
- A proven track record in supporting the production of financial statements compliant with ASPE
- Track record of managing deliverables from multiple parties to meet challenging deadlines
- A collaborative approach to leading an accounting team in finding creative solutions to daily issues
- Demonstrated ability in leading teams to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and month-end close processes
