Manulife Bank & Trust’s Mortgage Underwriting department is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to join the team You can be based anywhere in Canada. Opportunity for cross training within the mortgage residential team.

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Review documents submitted by sales partners to identify and decision whether documents adhere to internal guidelines.
- Ensure files are properly documented for reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with our sales partners.
- Ability to process a high work volume of files with attention to detail.
- Manage your files with appropriate communication while working closely with the salesperson associated with the file.

**Job Requirements (Knowledge/Skills/Competencies)**:

- Two years’ experience in the financial industry.
- Mortgage underwriting knowledge is a requirement.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and decisioning skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and handle several tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of banking systems.
- Bilingualism in French/English is preferred.
- Identify and solve issues requiring a high degree of judgment and recommend solutions.
- Overtime during peak season is a requirement.

**Key Challenges**:

- Multi-tasking, efficiently organizing and prioritizing workflows.
- Manage service daily to ensure Standards are met and/or exceeded.
- Interact with sales partners and other Bank departments to identify, resolve, and respond to issues as they arise.

$55,125.00 CAD - $91,875.00 CAD
