Edmonton, Canada Residential Aide Placement Service (RAPS) Full time

_**RAPS is Seeking a Permanent Overnight Awake Caregiver to Assist an Immobilized individual with Alzheimer’s (E10 )**_
- **Location**_: South Edmonton (Belgravia)_
- **Days/Hours**:_
- **Monday-Thursday 10:30pm-6:00am**_
- **Friday 10:30pm-7:00am**_
- _ _Client is immobilized, so all actions must be done in bed using
soaker pads to turn and reposition._
- Duties include but are not limited to:

- Personal care: Changing incontinent products (peri care in bed), Replacing soaker pads/nightgown when these get wet, Sponge bath and washing client’s hair, dressing assistance, Massage (feet, legs, intestinal massage), Range of motion exercises
- Taking vitals: blood pressure, temperature, respiration rate, pulse, blood
sugar
- Subcutaneous/Clysis administration (insertion done by LPN) & medication
administration_
- Meal preparation and feeding by hand (feeding usually takes 6-12 hours)
- Client engagement
- Light housekeeping: laundry, light kitchen cleaning
- Supervision
- Charting/documentation in log book_
- **Qualifications and Other Requirements**_: Must have a recent criminal record check including the vulnerable sector, must either have an HCA certificate or a minimum of 6 months’ previous caregiving experience_**. **_First aid/CPR Certificate & driver’s license/vehicle considered an asset._
- **Must be able to move client’s body in bed without causing bruising (by gripping or pressing) or stress (by sudden, quick movements when repositioning client)**_
- **Reference No: E10**_

**Salary**: $24.00 per hour
