**Position**: Doggy Daycare & Boarding Assistant

**Location**: Cougar Ridge SW, Calgary, AB

**Employment Type**: Contractor Position (10-month to 1-year term, Potential for Full-Time Permanent)

**Salary**: Starting at $50,000 per year plus bonuses during high volume times (Salary instated upon full training and independence)

**Schedule**: 2 days on, 2 days off (48-hour shifts, 15 days per month). Weekdays, weekends and holidays included.

**Start Date**: ASAP

**Responsibilities**:

- Overnight and daytime pet care
- Supervise & engage with dogs in play areas
- Ensure a safe & clean environment (including removing dog waste from yard & on walks
- Feed, walk, & monitor dogs according to their needs
- Provide basic grooming and care as needed
- Communicate with pet owners and provide updates (via text, video and pictures)
- Assist with cleaning duties such as sanitizing play areas, kennels & laundry
- Administration of medications & Supplements when needed.

**Requirements**:

- Must be over 18 years old with full time availability
- Must complete & clear a police check before hire
- Must be willing to work towards confidently handling groups of 10+ dogs in a pack walk setting, including some off-leash supervision
- Must have a personal phone and data plan
- Must be independent, coachable & adaptable, able to handle various situations with mínimal to no supervision
- Must love dogs & have experience handling them & their quirks
- Valid driver’s license required (Company vehicle provided)
- Reliable, outgoing, responsible & punctual
- Detailed oriented and organized
- Ability to work in a physically active environment
- Comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and backgrounds
- Excellent communication & teamwork skills
- Animal CPR and First Aid certification is an asset
- Previous experience in pet care is preferred
