**Public Relations & Social Media Lead**

**Contract Position**, Part-time (6-8 hours per week)

At Telecare Crisis & Caring Line, we’re helping hurting people one person at a time. We’re looking for a dedicated part-time professional public relations and social media expert to join our Christian ministry in Abbotsford, B.C. We are a small organization with big hearts and goals who need an able generalist.

**The Job**

In this role you will develop strategies to promote Telecare among businesses, churches, corporations and the general public to establish relationships for partnering, promoting, and positioning our Christian ministry. Always mindful, you think resourcefully about how Telecare can reach out to our publics and partners to serve them and develop means by which they may benefit from our ministry. You have a mindset to develop relationships with our partners. You live in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and seek to work primarily remotely and some service in Abbotsford.
- **Key Performance Indicators**_

1) Able to review and modify our current public relations strategies for optimum results.

2) Use diverse means to target three publics: potential volunteers, callers, and partner donors.

3) Establish and attain KPIs for number and nature of contacts.

4) Exhibit skills in social media strategy, content creation, analytics and reporting, SEO knowledge, graphic design, paid advertising, and branding.

5) Assist in planning and delivering two donor events per year.

6) Assist in promoting our _Listen Up_ workshop in churches.

**YOUR SKILLS**
- Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in sales, customer service, communications, or non-profit sector
- Post-secondary degree in communication, corporate communication, business, or related field
- Excellent writer, speaker, relater, and digital creator
- Self-starter with excellent project management skills
- Efficient and accurate with attention to detail for record keeping
- Able to listen effectively and show interest in people’s lives
- Experience with human services would be an asset

- Holds a valid BC Driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (mileage allowance provided)
- Holds a current Criminal Record Check

**Job Type**: Freelance

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 8 per week
