The Assistant Manager will report to the Store Manager.

**Job Overview**:
The assistant manager is responsible for aiding the manager oversee all staff, transactions, inventory movement and customer relations within the store. The assistant manager is also directly responsible for, meeting and surpassing individual sales goals and aiding the manager to meet store sales goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Improving store sales by achieving individual sales goals and providing sales support for other associates
- Onboarding and training all new staff in accordance with DOT policy and procedure
- Merchandising the showroom and creating appealing store displays
- Maintaining store cleanliness up to company standard
- Responsible for overall customer relations, maintaining high levels of positive customer feedback and resolving any conflict with customers in a positive way in the absence of the manager
- Processing transactions on POS, processing sales paperwork submitted from staff correctly, booking customer deliveries, processing phone transactions and processing Financing transactions in absence of the manager
- Electronic and physical management of inventory, through operations manager in absence of the manager
- Opening and closing procedures in the store including through POS
- Additional support for the sales team when necessary in any aspect including but not limited to; sales, moving product for customers, assembling/disassembling product, wrapping merchandise
- Providing additional support for the store manager as needed
- Conducting safety inspections, store WSIB compliance and ensuring all health and safety policies are followed

**Qualifications**:

- OSSD or equivalent required
- Previous experience as an assistant or keyholder is an asset
- Minimum 2 years retail sales experience strongly recommended
- Proficient with computers, excellent communication skills, proficiency with tools, visual merchandising skills, problem solving skills, good sales skills, customer service skills and a flexible schedule including the ability to work evenings and weekends
- Individuals need to demonstrate creativity, persistence, intelligence, patience, and must be able to motivate themselves intrinsically
- Any certifications in customer service or sales is preferred
- Ability to lift over 25lbs independently and be comfortable assembling/disassembling product

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
