Your role

Reporting to the Manager, French Services, Radio-Canada of the North Coast (web, radio, TV), you will work as a reporter based in Sept-Îles. You must have the integrity and self-confidence to bring our programming to life.

In this role, you will conduct research and interviews, write copy, process audio and video, and produce thorough, fact-checked, dynamic, compelling news content for delivery across various platforms (web, mobile, social media, radio, TV), in accordance with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.

Schedule: the schedule may vary to accommodate production requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent- Three (3) years’ journalism experience or the equivalent

**Skills**:
- Extensive general knowledge- Good knowledge of current events in the North Coast and in the Eastern Quebec- Solid command of the French language- Knowledge of English is an asset- Knowledge of communication techniques specific to the platforms (TV, radio, digital), as well as interviewing techniques- Ability to work well in a team, while being independent, resourceful and self-starting- Creative, enterprising and inquisitive approach to fact gathering- Good knowledge of how to produce digital reports and manage social media- Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines- Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices- Valid driver’s license- Theory test: position-related knowledge- French tests- Interview
