**Position Overview**

Reach is seeking a Controller to oversee the day-to-day Accounting operations and manage the Accounting team; oversee Financial Reporting functions in cooperation with the VP Finance and Chief Accounting Officer; and help to plan and integrate new processes and functions that will aid in the success and growth of Reach.

**You Will**:

- Oversee the day-to-day Accounting operations and functions.
- Manage the Accounting team personnel (located in Calgary and London, UK).
- Oversee Financial Reporting functions; liaise heavily with VP Finance in this capacity.
- Oversee month-end close processes.
- Manage annual financial audit as well as any other periodic audits or reviews brought on by other parties.
- Assist in planning and integrating back-office processes and functions to improve efficiencies and scale with organizational growth.
- Assist in planning and integrating new business initiatives, working closely with the Chief Accounting Officer, VP Finance and Sr. VP of Operations.

**Requirements**:
**Must Have Requirements**:

- Hold a recognized Accounting designation (i.e. CPA) from an accredited institution.
- Have worked a minimum of 8 years in Accounting and Finance roles.
- Have worked a minimum of 4 years in a senior/management level accounting role (i.e. Controller, Assistant Controller, etc).
- Be familiar/have experience with: Intercompany Accounting, Transfer Pricing, multi-currency Accounting, and VAT.
- Have excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Have experience in successful process development and implementation.
- Possess high intermediate to advanced level Excel skills.
- Be adept at learning new software and systems.

**Nice to Have Requirements**:

- Knowledge of FRS 102 - the Financial Reporting standard applicable in the UK.
- Have experience working in the Payments or related industries.
- Have experience with Sage X3 ERP (or a similar Sage ERP product).
- Have experience and be competent with Microsoft Power BI and Power Pivot.
