Marketing Coordinator- Summer Student Position

We are looking for an energetic individual to assist in providing public relations support. This position will develop, implement and maintain a variety of marketing channels to improve brand awareness and enhance the overall customer experience.

This is a summer student position through the Canadian Summer Jobs Grant program. This position is for 8 weeks starting June 23 and ending on August 22. To apply, please ensure you meet the following criteria:

- be between 15- 30 years old
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the _Immigration and Refugee Protection Act_ for the duration of the employment** and
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

**International students are not eligible participants.**

**Duties include**:

- Writing and proofreading promotional materials.
- Revamp guest information guides
- Creating and implementing a digital showcase for entry monitors
- Work closely with social media partners
- Assisting in the preparation and promotion of special events
- Providing administrative support to staff, volunteers, and houseguests
- Assisting with the media outreach execution of our communications strategy.

**Requirements**:

- Effective communication skills (written, oral, and listening)
- Strong knowledge of various social media sites and use of multimedia platforms

*Strong skills in Microsoft Office
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Attentive to details, responsible, can work independently
- Fast learner, competent
- At ease working with the public
- Ability to have empathy and respect privacy
- Understand the importance of being brand-consistent
- Working towards a degree in communications and media studies, marketing, graphic design & visual art, and business administration would be an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

- Monday to Friday
