To strengthen our team with the Fixed Wing Search & Rescue (FWSAR) Operational Training Unit (OTU) at 19 Wing Comox in Comox, BC we are looking for Simulator Maintenance Technicians. Responsibilities include: - As part of a team carry out preventive and corrective maintenance (hardware and software), and operational support, as detailed in the quality and maintenance documents, to achieve required availability and reliability on training devices - Perform and assist in the analysis and resolving of software and hardware related issues - Monitor and ensure that all training devices are serviceable and ready for training - Identify potential system problems and work with technical experts and colleagues to formulate plans to solve such problems using approved processes and procedures - Support internal and external customers for modifications, updates, testing, maintenance and repair - Produce/update maintenance records in according with established practices & processes - Debug and troubleshoot complex problems spanning a wide range of technologies including, but not limited to: computer systems, networking, audio/video distribution and avionics systems - Ability to work shift/overtime when needed - Available to take part in training session(s) at CAE Montreal or other CAE Sites in Canada if required Mandatory qualifications include: - Technical college diploma in electronics or aviation or 5 years of related experience - Customer-centric with experience and success providing customer service - Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and be a dynamic team player - Strong knowledge of English, read, written and spoken - Strong communication skills - Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit - Capable of obtaining and maintaining both Controlled Goods Clearance and a Level II NATO Secret security clearance Desirable qualifications include: - Understanding of aircraft terminology and simulation devices - Ability to interpret schematics and other technical documents - Experience on flight training devices - Knowledge of computing networks and architecture - Experience in military environment - Experience in material control We offer you: - Autonomy within a responsible position with a high visibility - A supportive, dynamic team and a friendly corporate culture - Excellent global career opportunities within an international, growth-oriented company - A wide range of services for your health and personal well-being, with a company benefits plan, pension and stock purchase plans LI-MC1 **Position Type** Regular CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
