Covid-19 Compliance Officer

BluMetric Environmental Inc. has a challenge that we want you to solve. We are looking for a bright, energetic, and knowledgeable COVID-19 Compliance Officer and/or COVID-19 Safety Observer to provide consulting support for one of our clients in the film and TV production industry (in compliance with applicable industry and provincial guidance documents as well as applicable public health orders) and to verify the production’s compliance with that plan. Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset for this position.

**Responsibilities**:
Include, but are not limited to:

- Coordinate COVID-19 health and safety planning in the workplace with on-site personnel;
- Determine the requirements needed for each department to comply with the guidelines;
- Oversee and support COVID-related activities on-site, verify site compliance and logistics, and regularly reinforce - through trainings, 1:1 sessions, and production management correspondence
- that applicable federal, region, and local rules are being followed;
- Advise the production personnel on health and safety best practices related to COVID-19;
- Evaluate production work practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the applicable health and safety regulatory requirements;
- Verify the required compliance training for all crew, talent, staff etc. is provided;
- Provide reports to production management regarding employee concerns, regulatory violations, and/or other non-compliance incidents;
- Liaison and provide coaching to on-site crew members to assist with implementation and monitoring of the site plan;
- Verify that physical distancing is adequate and work with the department heads and other leadership personnel to confirm that the distancing protocols are being followed;
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to adapt to varying work environments, possesses a strong pro-active work ethic and quickly adapt to new responsibilities;
- Ability to advise and guide production to implement necessary changes;
- Ability to work well in a team environment;
- Good oral and written communication skills, proactive communicator, bilingualism in French and English is an asset;
- Proven strong organizational skills including logistics, time management and scheduling;
- Must be a people person who can manage with confidence, maintain policy/ protocol with crew, and operate with authority when needed;
- Must be comfortable speaking to groups and providing training; and
- Highly creative and driven to problem solve;
**Technical Skills Desired**:

- Basic knowledge of COVID-19 safety and health standards and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Film and/or Television Production Set Experience preferred
- OHSA and/or consulting Health & Safety Experience
