Ghana - Sexual and Reproductive Health System

**This is a 12-month mandate in Tamale, Ghana**
The mandate is under the Equality in Action Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), which takes place in 14 countries and 3 regions over a seven-year period (2020-2027).
The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative, and sustainable development initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights. Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything it does.
**Here’s what your daily life will look like**:
In close collaboration with the Oxfam team members in the country of intervention, the advisor will:
- Work with selected health facilities and health authorities to develop strategies for improving the inclusive nature of sexual and reproductive health services (SRHS) to the youth;
- Support the Oxfam team in the implementation and monitoring of activities, in coordination with the relevant health authorities;
- Support the MEAL officer in the development of tools for collecting health related data.
**For this mandate you must**:
- Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent residence in Canada;
- Have a university degree in public health, or in Gender studies or any other relevant fields;
- Have 2-3 years of experience in a similar position involving implementation of health system and practices, and provision of Quality of Care for Young People on SRHS;
- Experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity assessment;
- Possess strong social and communication skills;
- Be fluent in English, spoken and written (required);
- Master the Microsoft Office Suite
