At our **Cambridge Facility** we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck, defense and off-road equipment companies. We feature fitting and welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly departments and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.

**Job description - Painter**

As the Painter you will clean and paint sub components for heavy O/E trucks used in the mining, forestry and/or agricultural industry.

**Responsibilities**
- You will ensure work procedures are being strictly adhered to
- You will advise the Lead Hand Painter of any and all problems and/or bottlenecks in the process
- You will inspect the equipment for cleanliness and damage
- You will clean, wash, and sand parts to remove corrosion
- You will select the appropriate paint or mix paints according to a pre-determined formula or customer specifications.
- You will operate a hand held spray gun to spray paint or coat stationary items with a protective coating in spray booth.
- You will ensure that painted surfaces meet Quality Standards, Customer Standards, and Paint Manufacture requirements in order to meet all Warranty Standards.

**Your Skill Set**
- At a minimum you have a grade twelve education or equivalent.
- You are detail oriented with high standards in quality.
- You have at least 1 - 2 years previous work related experience in a related industry or with automotive paint finishes, bodywork, and prepping parts.
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- You have knowledge of correct ratios relating to paint mixtures / thinners / catalyst / cure times / coat density.
