Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Systems Production, the **Production Technician Systems** is responsible to aid in the assembly and testing of epoc readers and hosts. This role is based on site in Ottawa, ON.

Siemens Healthineers Ottawa (SHS Ottawa) is a leading manufacturer of a clinical Point of Care (POC) diagnostic product. The epoc© Blood Analysis System is healthcare’s first cost-effective POC testing solution to leverage Smartcard Technology and wireless communication to provide caregivers with real-time, lab-quality blood gas, electrolyte, and metabolite results at the patient bedside.

As the **Production Technician**, your responsibilities will include:

- Participating in review for quality control.
- Making adjustments as necessary to fix product within specifications
- Operating within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Performing preventive maintenance on equipment as required
- Liaising with operators and other departments
- Cleaning and maintaining work area

As a successful **Production Technician **you will have:

- Minimum High school diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience acceptable to Epocal
- Minimum High School diploma or GED and/or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience acceptable to Epocal. Technical degree or diploma is preferred.
- Previous work experience with soldering and electronics assembly is preferred
- Previous work experience producing or repairing electro-mechanical instruments is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge is an asset
- Ability to meet Physical demands
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to distinguish between colours
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
