**Job Summary**

Global Risk Analytics (GRA) is the center of expertise for models used in risk management. This includes risk analytics for market risk, counterparty credit risk and emerging risk. GRA’s market risk analytics team focuses on model development for trading book market risks, including regulatory and internal management models.

There are several opportunities within internal management market risk models. These include development and enhancement for the Idiosyncratic Debt Specific Risk model (which computes credit spread specific risk in the debt portfolio that is not captured through the General Market Risk measure) as well as for the Default Risk Charge Economical model (which captures default risk for debt and equity products via a Monte-Carlo simulation). These opportunities will help the intern grasp the knowledge of industrial market risk measures and develop solid quantitative skills.

**What will you do?**
- Assist to development and maintenance of market risk models.
- Assist with remediation of issues and model enhancements.
- Assist with documentation requirements.
- Make presentations to senior leadership in risk.

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**
- Strong programming experience in Python and SQL.
- Knowledge about financial products in trading book and risk measures.
- Ability to communicate technical matters in written and oral forms.
- Team players to collaborate and innovate

**Nice-to-have**
- Interested in learning about specific and default market risk
- Understand of the big picture regarding how risk function works in banks.

**Please note**: This posting is for a 4-month Fall 2025 Student placement with a start date of September 2025, and end date of December 2025. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:

- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2025 ; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2025), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
