Park Paving Ltd. has been locally owned and operated for 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton.

As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and durability. You will be responsible for conducting various tests including asphalt and concrete testing, and quality control measurements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform loose mix asphalt testing
- Complete aggregate testing
- Test plastic concrete
- Evaluate compaction performance
- Facilitate third party engineering work
- Analyze data from test results
- Reporting of test results to supervisor
- Build relationships with clients & personnel
- Inspection of completed work
- Adhere to safe driving and safe work policies

**Requirements**:

- **Currently enrolled or recently graduated in post secondary degree or diploma program in civil engineering or a related field**:

- **Must have valid Class 5 drivers license**:

- Previous experience in quality control or a similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of asphalt and concrete materials and testing procedures
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and software for quality control measurements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team

**Benefits**

**Pay Scale $24 - $27 per hour starting wage depending on experience.**
