**Overview**

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for managing both accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) functions, including verifying, processing, and reconciling financial transactions. The role involves preparing financial reports, managing bank activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial standards.

**Accounts Payable (A/P)**:

- Match all invoices with purchase orders, verify unit prices, weights, and PODs, and post to the system.
- Enter and maintain daily Excel spreadsheets for meat and chicken purchases.
- Generate and upload bank reports for cheques and EFTs.
- File all backups after issuing payments.
- Prepare month-end accruals.

**Accounts Receivable (A/R)**:

- Perform collections and file claims.
- Process EFT deposits weekly and manage credit tracking spreadsheets.
- Verify sales invoices, compare with purchase orders, and update spreadsheets.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or AEC Finance (or equivalent DEP).
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Complete knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
- Bilingual (English and French).
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and dependable.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high accuracy.
