Under the mentorship of the Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) and the Quality Assurance and Planning Office at UPEI, the Student Assistant will work on a curricular coherence project.

This student position focuses on the collection of data for each of the academic programs at UPEI to support the _Curricular Coherence Initiative for Student Success_ being undertaken by the Academic Planning and Curriculum Committee.

The student assistant will report to the Quality Assurance and Planning Officer. The primary work area will be on the UPEI campus in the Teaching and Learning Centre.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Data collection on a series of curriculum coherence indicators for the Curricular Coherence Initiative for Student Success
- Meet with faculty or staff who can respond to questions and provide clarification about elements of their academic program
- Activities to support colleagues working on student retention actions
- Compilation of current and historical grade summaries for courses
- Other duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate program
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Previous experience with MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel
- Must have excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Must be comfortable with reaching out of faculty/ instructors to gather information for this project
- An interest and/or background in instructional design, education, and use of educational technologies would be considered an asset

This position is covered by a Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the University of Prince Edward Island. Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students.
