The Centre for Environment and Sustainability (CES), is an interdisciplinary initiative supported by the Faculty of Science (host faculty), Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Social Science, and other contributing faculties. It is home to the Master of Environment and Sustainability program and the graduate Specialization in Environment and Sustainability.
**Course Information**:
ENVRSUST 9200 - Interdisciplinary Consulting Project
The purpose of this course is to give students an opportunity to work with a client in a non-academic, applied setting. Members of each Consulting Group will jointly undertake environmental research. Upon completion of the course, each Consulting Group will make a formal presentation of their research findings and recommendation and will provide their client with a professional quality report. The course instructor will present the projects and students will compete for the projects.
**Please Note** that the MES program plans to have two sections for this course:
- Both sections will run at the same time. Two instructors will be hired.
- This course will run in person but the instructors should be prepared to deliver in an online format if required due to pandemic restrictions.
**Responsibilities**:
You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.
**Qualifications**:
In accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, consideration of applicants will include an assessment of previous performance, experience, and qualifications, including qualifications which go beyond the requirements for the position. Applicants should have fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
