**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Set up and operate CNC water jet cutting machines, ensuring accurate alignment and calibration for each job.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine cutting parameters.
- Program CNC water jet equipment using CAD/CAM software, incorporating GD&T standards for precision.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on water jet machinery to minimize downtime.
- Select appropriate tooling and abrasive materials for different materials such as sheet metal and composites.
- Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, welding, and other machining processes as needed.
- Assist with material handling using forklifts or cranes when required.
- Document production activities accurately for quality control and process improvement purposes.

**Experience**
- Proven experience operating CNC water jet cutting equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Familiarity with CNC programming using CAD/CAM software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and quality inspection techniques.
- Experience with other machining processes such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, stamping presses, or electrical discharge machining is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, fabrication techniques, and the use of hand tools is preferred.
- Prior experience working with sheet metal or fabricating components from various materials is advantageous.
