**IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN**
We are seeking an eager, personable and passionate individual to join our Carmens Group Information Technology team
The IT Support Technician provides the first level of tech support to both our internal users and our customer utilizing our technologies.
**YOUR OPPORTUNITIES**:
- Troubleshoot errors and fix system issues via periodic testing, help desk tickets, and other methods.
- Receive service requests through the Carmen’s Group - IT Service Portal, ensuring prompt response, prioritization and effective resolution of open tickets.
- Develop a strong understanding of all software programs used by the Company and work with the team to ensure constant improvements are planned and implemented.
- Reduce employee and guest disruption by effectively minimizing downtime.
- Research, design, and implement the appropriate technologies to support and improve corporate communications, access to information, and end-user productivity.
- Plan and provide end-user training including on-going education to employees on new technologies and security awareness.
- Collaborate with other IT and operational staff to ensure database integrity, security, and on-going performance for Company WiFi, Networks, Anti-virus software, etc.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as directed.
- Manage user accounts, creating, updating and removing access as directed.
- Monitor and assess systems to make sure that processes are operating as designed for both internal users and guest facing technologies.
- Manage company websites in collaboration with Marketing & Communications department and external vendors.
- Other duties as required
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Post secondary education in a technical discipline required.
- 1 or more years of related experience preferred.
- A high-level of proficiency with Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, and OneDrive.
- Proficiency with VPN networks, firewalls, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies.
- Good overall knowledge of programming concepts, software development cycles, and associated tools and platforms.
- Working knowledge of general networking (DHCP, DNS, Firewall, VLANs, etc)
- Working knowledge of Windows networking (Active Directory, Group Policy, file sharing/migration, licensing services, RDP.
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and overtime as required.
- A valid class “G” driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Ability to lift items up to 30 lbs.
