**Your Day-to-Day**:

- Provide clients with assessment, consultation and psych educational services
- Active participation in regular team conferences involving client and members of the interdisciplinary teams
- Communicate effectively with staff members, clients, employers, referral sources, family members and other counsellors
- Psychological case management input and direction to the therapy teams pertaining to initial assessment, treatment planning, clients' progress, conflict resolution, stakeholder discussions and problem solving, and discharge planning
- Orientation and mentoring to assist other team members to effectively manage clients' psycho-social issues
- Focus on providing education and intervention for clients
- Utilize a primarily cognitive-behavioural approach to treatment, incorporating a variety of assessment and treatment tools and interventions, based on an overall client-centered philosophy

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Masters in of Social Work or Counseling/Clinical Psychology
- 2 years + experience preferred
- Professional registration with the applicable college or association (Nova Scotia College of Social Workers or Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists)
- Ability to use creative and structured approaches to assist clients to self-manage
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other correspondence
- Ability to communicate using different styles and methods to suit individual clients and situations
