We are seeking a passionate and experienced Accessibility Specialist to join our team building a cutting-edge SaaS platform. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our platform is accessible in conformance with the latest accessibility standards. **Responsibilities**:
- Develop, implement, and maintain an accessibility roadmap for our SaaS platform
- Conduct accessibility testing and evaluations of platform features
- Work with third parties on Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPAT)
- Work with development teams to ensure accessibility and VPAT conformance is integrated into the design and development process
- Keep up-to-date with the latest accessibility and internationalization standards and technologies, including WCAG 2.x, Section 508, EN 301 549, AODA and others
- Provide training and support to development teams on accessibility best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address accessibility and maintain conformance
**Required Skills & Experience**:
- Proficient in Section 508, WCAG 2.x and EN 301 549
- 1-2 years minimum experience in web accessibility testing and evaluation techniques
- Experience with accessibility technologies and assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard navigation
- Proven experience working in an Agile development environment
- Familiarity with VPATs, including the ability to read and maintain them
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passionate about Accessibility & equitable experiences
- Understanding of technology limitations and restrictions
**Preferred Skills & Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, human-computer interaction, or related field is considered advantageous
