The **EMR Project Manager Fixed 10 months contract** plays a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise-wide electronic medical record (EMR) migration initiatives across Harrison Healthcare clinics. This role is responsible for leading complex, multi-site EMR data migrations, ensuring data integrity, workflow continuity, stakeholder alignment, and mínimal disruption to patient care.
This position supports the organization’s commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care by enabling seamless clinical and operational workflows through effective technology transformation. The EMR Project Manager fosters a personalized team member experience and promotes a culture of innovation, compassion, and excellence while delivering high-impact healthcare technology projects.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to guide clinicians and staff through change, balance competing priorities, and build confidence in new systems. Success in this role depends as much on relationship-building, influence, and communication as it does on technical and project management expertise.
**Reporting to: Chief Information Officer (CIO)**
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, including leadership of EMR/EHR implementations or data migration initiatives in healthcare environments.
- Experience with Accuro EMR is strongly encouraged.
- Experience with Juno and/or Ava EMR is preferred.
- Familiarity with integrated healthcare tools and platforms such as Cortico, OceanMD, Medeo, or similar solutions is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare data migration principles, and operational change management.
- Demonstrated strength in interpersonal communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management within complex healthcare environments.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to clinical and non-technical audiences.
- Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar) is considered an asset.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead end-to-end EMR migration projects, including planning, data discovery, validation, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support across multiple clinical sites.
- Analyze and map clinical and administrative workflows to support accurate data migration and optimized system configuration
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to manage integrations and technical dependencies
- Support change management activities, including readiness assessments, training coordination, and clinician adoption
- Document migration processes, data governance decisions, and standard operating procedures
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, risk registers, and status reports.
- Translate clinical, operational, and technical requirements into actionable project deliverables.
- Facilitate clear, consistent communication with physicians, clinic leaders, and administrative teams
- Identify risks, escalate issues, and provide recommendations to leadership throughout the project lifecycle
- Support training initiatives by collaborating with clinical educators, vendors, and internal teams.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
