**Overview**
U Multicultural is seeking experienced researchers to contribute to a vital environmental and health assessment initiative. This project aims to evaluate environmental conditions, health impacts, and community concerns related to water and soil quality, pollutants, and contaminants.

**Duties**
- Collect and review environmental data, including water and soil quality, pollutants, and contaminants.
- Analyze data from provincial/federal agencies, academic institutions, and community sources.
- Conduct a review of government reports, academic studies, and case studies on environmental and health impacts in Indigenous communities.
- Identify relevant research gaps and historical data related to Lake Manitoba First Nation.
- Synthesize research findings into accessible materials for community members, policymakers, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to reports that support evidence-based decision-making and advocacy efforts.

**Qualifications**
- Background in environmental science, public health, Indigenous studies, or a related field.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities or on Indigenous-led research projects.
- Strong analytical and writing skills for research synthesis and reporting.
- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary and community-focused research environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings clearly.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
