2026 Winter Student

**Please note**:This posting is for a **8**-month Student Winter 2026**placement with a start date of January 2026 and end-date of August 2026.

In order to be eligible for this 8-month Student position, you must either:

- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2025/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

**What is the opportunity?**

The Business Distribution Model and Advisor Role Strategy (BDMARS) Insights & Analytics team enables use of data in strategic decision making, measures / monitors key initiative impact, leads process automation / optimization, and executes ad-hock data-related requests. BDMARS Insights & Analytics Intern will contribute to this mandate, responsible for supporting and conducting analysis, design, and implementation of data solutions, leveraging RBC’s enterprise suite of analytical tools.

**What will you do?**
- Support and conduct analysis, design, and implementation of data solutions, leveraging RBC’s enterprise suite of analytical tools
- Support with defining / implementing data governance, security, and integrity / accuracy of data in model development
- Support with the implementation and maintenance of models
- Build relationships and collaborate with the BDMARS Insights & Analytics team and other key business partners

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must have**:

- Experience with big data technologies and familiarity with range of data tools (Big Data Tools, Datameer, Teradata, SQL);
- Experience with data manipulation with Python ecosystem (Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, etc.)
- Ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data, and to translate technical data findings into clear business friendly insights;
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Interest in the financial services industry

**Nice-to-have**
- Experience building automated solutions using different tools combined (Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI)
- Business Intelligence and Visualization tools experience (Tableau, Datameer, PowerBI)
- Data pipeline automation experience with Spark.
