**Job Description**:
Main Functions

Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Legal Affairs and Compliance, the Legal Counsel is responsible for:

- The review, preparation, drafting, translation, negotiation, distribution and signing of various contracts
- The completeness of the complete contractual cycle
- Review of calls for tenders for risk assessment purposes
- Legal translation, to ensure the availability of all standard contract templates in French and English
- Ensure that all the information required for the preparation of contracts is available and accurate
- Maintain an accessible and well-organized electronic filing system for templates and agreements
- Ensure that all signed agreements are digitized, indexed and filed
- Support the registration process for compliance with government requirements
- Support the dispute and dispute resolution process
- Issue legal opinions, written or verbal, relating to various areas of law
- Train the various departments of the company on the legal concepts that are useful to them
- Legal monitoring of issues related to commercial contracts, information technology, government and regulatory requirements, and other related topics
- Miscellaneous related tasks, including special projects

**Qualifications**:
**Skills and Abilities Required**
- Holds a university degree in law, and is a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
- Has one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar position (various combinations of education and work experience will be considered, although a specialization related to the field of business law or new technologies law will be an asset)
- Knows the concepts, practices and procedures applicable to contract law
- Demonstrates business acumen and a hands-on approach to finding solutions
- Able to set priorities and manage time well, and demonstrates an ability to act and think strategically
- Is able to communicate and work with employees of all levels within the company, including management
- Must be willing and motivated to read and review a large volume of legal documents
- Has excellent oral and written communication skills, in French and English
- Is able to keep sensitive information highly confidential at all times
- Is organized, efficient and attentive to detail
- Is dynamic and eager to deepen his knowledge
- Has initiative and is autonomous and resourceful
- Has a customer-focused approach
- Has a team spirit
