**Job Summary**:
**Please note: This is a paid 6 month coop/internship opportunity with the possibility of becoming a permanent role**

**What you will do in this role**:

- Assist the Associate Manager of Product Development in developing seasonal product strategies aligned to Merchant vision
- Assist in conducting market research to identify consumer trends, competitor products, and market opportunities
- Research, monitor & communicate industry trends
- Complete comparative market shops to identify key items, trends, color, and sizing
- Assist in the creation of seasonal trend presentations to give direction to the merchant teams
- Update and communicate the development calendars to merchants and vendors
- Publish seasonal assortment plans & departmental line lists by store group
- Develop and maintain fit standards by brand & commodities
- Liaise with vendors to ensure that are standard for fit and quality are upheld
- Track & record progress of private label styles throughout season to ensure that vendors are adhering to development calendars
- Ensure that brand standard and details are consistent throughout commodities
- Develop in-store merchandising plans, including fixture and product placement, to ensure a coherent vision, or POV [Point of View] message is evident
- Develop and maintain packaging standards by brand

**Your Qualifications Include**:

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in apparel production, fashion, or a related field
- Passion for fashion and a keen interest in product development
- Technical knowledge of fabrics, fit and construction in menswear
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and consumer insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to use Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)

**Job Type**: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 6 months
