Quality assurance means more than testing.
It means you don’t allow the same bug to bite you twice.
What you’re passionate about
You are passionate about software quality. You get that you must first understand the business requirements in order to develop meaningful test cases, so you ask questions. You find ways to learn complex business processes and systems, so bugs don’t slip by. You love the challenge of building that comprehensive set of test conditions to prove system accuracy and you want to be part of a team that enjoys continuous improvement and change. And treats. Who doesn’t enjoy treats and collaborating with other smart people?
A typical day for the Quality Assurance Analyst
- Planning - much effort goes into planning QA activities for an enterprise-level integrated software solution.
- Perform skilled analysis of software issues and new requests.
- Identify test cases and appropriate test data. Create and execute test scripts and record results.
- Log defects clinically, perform defect management and collaborate with a large software vendor consistently.
- Contribute to keeping regression test suites for the existing solution current
- Backlog maintenance (grooming).

What you bring
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Proven ability to develop and perform manual software test execution and use standard technical tools such as ServiceNow, ALM, or similar
- Proficiency at analyzing, troubleshooting, and critical thinking
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and practical understanding of integrated software systems
- CSTE/CSQA and ITIL certification is a valuable asset
- Concise writing and verbal communication skills for both IT and business audiences
