Regional Operations Manager - Saskatchewan
**Summary of core objectives**:
The role of the Regional Operations Manager is to provide continued support, mentoring and oversight in the management of all hotel operations for the assigned territory (Saskatchewan).
Consisting of remote and onsite presence, the Regional Operations Manager will be stationed of our Head Office location in Surrey BC, and travel to the assigned hotel locations once every 60-90 days or as needed to provide re-enforcement of not only brand initiatives but parent company policies and budgetary goals.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Consistently reinforces West Fraser Developments Ltd business plan of the hospitality portfolio by practicing, promoting, and modeling WFD's, vision and values.
- Provides direction, training, mentoring and support leadership to all General Managers and supervisory/ support personnel deployed at each location.
- Develops and implements multiyear business and profitable growth strategies for the assigned region to deliver increased market share by managing financial performance, and assessing economic factors and how it correlate to operational expenses and improvements.
- Provides budget guidance, review, and direction for each hospitality location by setting quarterly and yearly business objectives for each location to implement.
- Manages and works in conjunction with the WFD Accounting department for overall financial performance of each location by analyzing and reconciling financial reports, determining trends and areas of opportunity, advising, and directing on cost control methods.
- Works with each General Manager to implement a revenue growth strategy and platform, including participation in Brand services and programs for Revenue Management and Sales Prospecting.
- Travels to each assigned location to maintain visibility and to foster effective relations with staff and managers. Travel is minimum once a quarter and/or based on onsite presence requirements.
- Conducts internal audits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to brand standards and practices. Ensure each property within the portfolio follows legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Monitors QA inspection results, guest survey results and guest satisfaction scores; Facilitates remedial action for improving service when necessary.
- Analyzes and mitigates risk to each location by proactively monitoring internal and external threats to all aspects of the business. Develops action plans to strategically counter all threats.
- Facilitates cross-regional communication to enhance operations, share best practices and leverage organizational resources.
- Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics.
- Promotes reputation and social responsibility within the communities for each hotel property within the portfolio.
- Facilitates participation in all training programs (as required).
- Demonstrates creativity and strength in the face of change, obstacles, and adversity. Challenges feed your desire towards accomplishment.
- Participates in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Executive Board of West Fraser Developments.
**Qualifications**:
- 4-5 years of General Manager experience or 2-3 years of regional leadership experience
- Business Development education or equivalent Hospitality Operations experience
- Must be willing to travel to each location when required, frequency TBD.
- Must be willing to attend and participate in Brand events and meetings, frequency TBD.
- Willing to conduct Remote Meetings.
- **Have a valid driver’s license and Passport.**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
