Carpenter Canada Co. has an immediate opening for a **Health & Safety Manager** at our **Woodbridge, ON** manufacturing plant.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**HEALTH & SAFETY**
- Develop annual health and safety plans for the company based on a full review of health and safety-related needs
- Monitor safety performance and conduct health & safety audits and inspection activities;
- Identify hazardous conditions, determines and establishes safe procedures and controls, and implements and enforces standard safe work procedures.
- Assist with the development of written safety policies, procedures, work practices, and guidance documents.
- Ensure all personnel is trained in safety protocols and programs associated with their work.
- Conduct health & safety orientations and monthly training sessions.
- Assist with the development and coordination of emergency response procedures.
- Respond to emergency calls or events and assist as needed.
- Participate in all incident investigations, draft reports, and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage WSIB account, modified work programs, and applicable reports.
- Act as a resource to or serve as a member on the Joint Health and Safety Committee, assisting and providing information and responses on behalf of the company
- Ensure the documentation and retention of all health and safety-related records for the prescribed time limits.
