As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Strategic Communications and Education Services, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of Parliamentary Protocol and Public Relations professionals. **What You’ll Do**: **You’ll act with integrity to**: - Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in a non-partisan support role. - Exercise tact and diplomacy in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment when dealing with internal stakeholders, educators, students and other external clients. **You’ll support our collaboration as you**: - Design and evaluate educational programs and interpretive elements for students of all ages in accordance with curriculum standards. - Inform, engage and empower the public in the work of Parliament, politics and democracy by designing programs that make history and democracy accessible to all citizens with a focus on civic engagement and active citizenship. - Provide a better understanding of the role and function of Parliament, its role in a diverse society and the importance of getting involved. - Collaborate on, promote, and implement outreach and engagement strategies, using various methods, including social media. - Deliver programs onsite, virtually and in the community to students and local organizations throughout the province. **How You Qualify**: **You demonstrate excellence through your**: - Completion of a post-secondary education, or 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience in educational programming with interpretation experience in a public setting. - Excellent written and oral communication skills that will help you develop, deliver and support education and public programming relative to community and public engagement. Fluency in French is an asset. - Ability to promote the role and function of Parliament, politics and democracy, using social media due to your experience managing social media platforms. - Ability to build and maintain professional, long-term relationships with a wide variety of stakeholder and community groups to ensure relevant, effective programming and resources. - Creativity, strong research skills, and knowledge/understanding of Ontario’s curriculum, the parliamentary process and the history of Ontario to develop engaging educational and public programming. - Flexibility as a team player, and ability to foster good working relationships with your colleagues as a positive contributor. - Ability to work a flexible schedule to travel and conduct outreach programs throughout the province.
