**Overview**
**Assistant Project Manager - Transit Systems**
**Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and ACS - Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (ECLRT) Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex design and construction project.**

This position will be responsible to ensure that the installation and integration of the assigned transit subsystem is completed ahead of schedule and under budget. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will lead and guide a team of construction project professionals to execute this subsystem.

**Responsibilities**
- Demonstrates leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the project specific safety program to promote overall compliance of health and safety standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project.
- Champions the necessary business process flows to facilitate the project quality program and ensure materials are supplied and work is completed properly.
- Ensures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that quality standard are maintained.
- Develops and maintains the construction schedule and also mitigation schedules in conjunction with other project stakeholders to meet or beat milestone dates.
- Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders including our client to control the project’s ongoing progression.
- Provides strong leadership to construction team members, capitalizing on individual and group strengths and chemistries to ensure project targets are achieved.
- Identifies and manages opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets.
- Maintains tracks and reports financial aspects of project including forecasts and billings.

**Qualifications**
- 8+ years of Project/Construction Management experience in multi-disciplinary, multi-site, multi-project environment.
- Completed post-secondary education in Construction and/or Engineering and/or related discipline.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology.
- Strong negotiation, and management skills.
- Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule.
- Demonstrated desire to drive decision making and build confidence within multi-stakeholders groups with competing viewpoints.
- Initiative to seek out cross project contacts to ensure interfaces to and expectations of other project teams are well understood/communicated.
- A track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating, coaching and consensus-building.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

**Supervisory Responsibility**:

- Supervising and managing on-site CTS staff.
- Managing subcontractors.

**Fiscal Responsibility**:

- Manage construction budget/schedule

**Extent of Internal/Public Contact**:

- Communicate with CTS staff at all levels, designers, vendors, subcontractors, client representatives, client subconsultants, and subcontractors.

**Physical Demands**:
