**Job Overview - Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)**
SpeechBurst SLP Services is seeking a warm, reliable, and motivated **Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)** to join our growing team in **Surrey and Langley**.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children and families, enjoys community-based sessions, and is confident supporting therapy plans under SLP supervision. You’ll be part of a collaborative team and have opportunities to grow your skills while making a meaningful impact in the community.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide 1:1 speech and language support under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Implement therapy programs targeting expressive/receptive language, articulation, AAC, social communication, play skills, and early intervention.
- Take accurate session notes, collect data, and maintain organised documentation for the supervising SLP.
- Prepare therapy materials and activities as needed.
- Model strategies for parents/caregivers within SLPA scope.
- Travel to client homes, community locations, and/or clinic sites across **Surrey and Langley**.
- Maintain professional boundaries and follow all privacy, safety, and clinical guidelines.
- Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP for updates and case coordination.
**Qualifications**
- Completion of an accredited **SLPA program** or related communication disorders program.
- Experience working with young children, neurodiverse clients, or early intervention populations is an asset.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development.
- Excellent communication, play-based engagement, and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, punctual, and capable of independent work within SLPA scope.
- **Valid BC driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (required).**:
- Reliable for travel across Surrey and Langley.
