**Reports to**: Shop Supervisor

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain excellent attendance record
- Interpret drawings and sketches to determine measurements
- Setting up basic fabrication
- Accurate use of square, levels, angle finder and other measuring tools related to specific area (in both Metric & Imperial)
- Operate basic hand tools i.e. drills, grinders, etc.
- Operate shop equipment i.e. shot blast, drill press, ironworker, punch, shear, brake, blasting machine, saw, etc. as trained to do so
- Safe operation of overhead crane and mobile equipment for material movement
- Maintain and service machines as required
- Perform housekeeping duties as required

**Requirements/Qualifications**
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, procedures and practices
- Knowledge of materials and basic understanding of metals
- Skilled with numbers regarding accurate measurements, checking drawings, counting parts and calculating weights
- Must be physically fit, able to lift 50 lbs, and be on feet for long periods of time
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English clearly
- Possess problem solving skills
- Must have hand tools, list will be supplied
- Valid drivers license
- Must be willing to work overtime and on occasion Saturdays
- Local or willing to relocate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
