Carmacks is currently seeking **Maintenance Crew Labourers** for our Maintenance Division based out of Edmonton, AB. This is a **seasonal position** on a 7 days on and 7 days off shift. The shift rotation will be alternating days or nights, working 12-hour shifts with possible overtime.

Be the backbone of efficiency in our maintenance crew. Join us as a **Labourer,** where your hands-on contributions play a crucial role in the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. Contribute to the smooth operation of our maintenance team, ensuring the continued success of our operations.

**What is the role?**
- This position will be responsible for weed whacking around culverts, light poles, signs and guard rails to assist the grass mowers, debris pickup, surface repairs, line painting, maintenance of signs, cable barriers and guardrails, and traffic accommodation.
- Works with the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor and the CMSL Team to complete work required to meet expectations, standards and, timelines outlined in contracts and agreements at or below costs.
- Patrols the roads and observes the Right of Way (ROW) to identify work that needs to be done.
- Locates and identifies hazards.
- Communicates consistently with Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor as applicable.
- Participates with the team and promotes a positive attitude.
- Ensures timely accurate communication of all information and completion of all required documentation.
- Deals with the public in a courteous professional manner.
- Complies with and contributes to the improvement of the CMSL Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Participates in training.

**What do we value?**
- Possesses a Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Physically able to complete labour work.
- Experience related to highway maintenance is preferred.
- Interfaces with various members of the organization in a professional, calm, helpful and courteous manner.
- Comprehension skills - reading, writing, speaking, listening.
- Open to suggestions and able to implement them.
- Holds themselves accountable for all project related activities
- Transportation to and from work
