**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Amrize Construction is currently seeking a full-time **Highway Maintenance Worker** to join our Highway Maintenance Division in Northern Alberta.

**WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH**
- Inspect highways and assess road conditions, reporting deficiencies to the superintendent.
- Operate snow plow trucks and loaders for snow removal and highway maintenance.
- Perform manual tasks such as crack sealing, sign and guardrail repairs, removal of roadkill, placing gravel or asphalt, and repairing delineators.
- Maintain, service, and repair equipment according to company and safety standards.
- Complete administrative paperwork as requested by the superintendent.
- Follow all safe work practices and participate actively in safety meetings and incident investigations.
- Ensure public safety during all work activities.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**

**Schedule**: 12-hour shifts, alternating night and day, year-round

**Education**:High School Diploma or equivalent

**Field of Study Preferred**: N/A

**Required Work Experience**:Minimum 2 years’ truck driving experience; experience operating snow plow trucks on highways is required.

**Required Training/Certifications**: Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement.

**Travel Requirements**:Willingness to work in remote locations throughout Alberta.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Willingness to complete training such as Employee Orientation, Operator Training, Flag Training, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid, and others as required.
- Must be willing to work overtime and in all weather conditions.
- Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks including crouching, bending, lifting, and kneeling.
- Proven ability to follow safe work procedures and complete field risk assessments.
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to work safely under varying conditions.
