**Position Profile**:General Manager

**Location**: Open Concept Hospitality Restaurants, Union Station, Toronto

**Position Summary **We are seeking a highly motivated General Manager to join our Union Station operations team overseeing our Union Chicken and Amano restaurants. This is a great opportunity for an experienced GM who has a proven track record of leading their teams to success. At OCH our GMs offer a hands-on leadership style to ensure their restaurants and their teams are performing at their peak potential. Outside of their restaurants, GMs build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the community to establish brand presence and marketing opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working with the management team to attract, hire and retain top industry talent
- Inspiring, motivating and encouraging all associates to perform to their potential
- Monthly scheduling for all salaried positions that maximizes store performance while maintaining a work/life balance for each team member
- Increasing brand awareness in the community through events and local store marketing
- Building partnerships with key stakeholders to promote brand awareness
- Establishing a strong catering program and promoting it to local offices
- Consistently leading weekly management meetings to align and action store goals
- Dedication to management leadership performance evaluations
- Ensuring operations function as efficiently as possible while delivering a positive dining experience to all guests
- Ongoing training and development for staff at all levels
- Working with management team to review and adjust schedules to ensure proper staffing levels are achieved
- Ensuring proper ordering levels and inventory management controls are maintained to achieve optimal cost of goods
- Ensuring stores consistently operate according to brand systems and standards
- Instilling a ‘promote from within’ development culture to build team loyalty and retention
- Routine walkthrough of building including exterior structure to address cleanliness, repair and maintenance requirements
- Responding and actioning guest communications in store, online or otherwise
- Collaborating with Chef and their culinary team to ensure food quality and timing standards are consistently adhered to
- Developing and delivering on sales drivers and employee engagement practices to build product knowledge
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all team members
- Providing and ensuring a strong floor presence to build rapport with guests while assisting hourly associates with daily operations
- Regular reviews of company financial statements to ensure profitability is maximized

**Education & Qualifications**
- Minimum 3+ years previous experience in a restaurant General Management position
- Strong knowledge and experience with beer, wine and spirits
- Significant experience with recruiting, hiring, and training team members
- Intermediate computer skills in MS office (word, excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and problem solve under pressure
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as business dictates
- Food Handlers Certification, Health & Safety Management and Smart Serve Certified
- Knowledgeable regarding Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Laws in Ontario

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
