Key Accountabilities
- Accurate preparation, reporting, and maintenance of accounting & statistical data for the use of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides general support to leadership and other team members on resource allocation, budgeting, and reporting on funding and operational outcomes in order to achieve common targets.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements & reports, budgets, month/year-end closing, financial analysis, and reporting to shareholders.
- Preparation of GST/PST reports and filings, coordinated with corporate accountant as required.
- Interface with corporate accountant on preparation and filing of corporate taxes & accounting books.
- Generate new tools and reports as required by business needs.
- Implementation and monitoring of financial reporting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Coordinate with key service providers, including: Accounting software, payroll software, banks, payment providers, vendor receivables.
- Monitor revenues, expenses, and variance to budget.
- Make recommendations for improving the financial efficiency of the business.
- Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.
- Accountable for all financial reporting and business analysis, including monthly and annual reports.
- Administer payroll (including source deduction filing, Service Canada Submissions), accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Provide support to general HR admin: Employee documentation (files) & onboarding, documentation maintenance and requirements, payroll support, benefits administration.
- Ensure that all required financial controls are in place and applied.
- Administer, maintain, and improve financial reporting tools, including electronic systems and records.
- Make recommendations for & implement approved cost savings, systems, and process improvements.
- Provide recommendations and financial assessment with respect to strategic objectives.
- Manage maintenance and structure of the general ledger.
- Other related tasks as may be required from time to time.

Requirements & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- CPA designation, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.
- Strong data management skills: Excel, report building, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to work closely with a senior management team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
