Summary:
Title: Project Controls Service Analyst

Employment Type: Temporary (1 Year)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB (Hybrid, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in-office)

Target Start Date: February 2025

About this Role:
The Project Controls Service Analyst will provide procurement and transactional accounting support for the Projects organization. Key tasks include creating requisitions, following-up on purchase and change orders, validating and coding invoices for payment.

Essential Tasks - In this job, you will:

- Work closely with Execution and Engineering leads, and Project Controls Advisors to ensure completeness and accuracy of requisition instructions, and initiate purchase and change orders. This could involve collecting information from multiple data sources.
- Monitor and provide ongoing insights to stakeholders on funding levels and status of purchase and change orders, as needed. This could involve data analysis using various tools such as Oracle Financials reports, Power BI, SharePoint, and Excel reports.
- Ensure timely invoice processing by working closely with Field Cost Analysts, Supply Chain Management and Accounts Payable to receive services and validate invoices.
- Support the project closeout process, including the closing of task codes, purchase orders, change orders, etc. (as required).
- Work with Supply Chain Management and Accounts Payable to ensure enterprise accounting standards are met, such as Supply Chain Management Policy, Delegation of Authority Policy, audit guidelines/SOX requirements.

- Effective communication both verbally and in written form. This includes the ability to work well with peers, internal and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and to work with mínimal level of supervision.

Digital/Technical Skills & Tools - You have:

- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel
- Basic skill level with the Microsoft Suite (Word, powerPoint, Outlook)
- Nice to have (but not required):

- Knowledge/experience with Oracle Financials or other financial softwar
- Experience with PowerBI

Education/Knowledge - You have:

- Degree, diploma, or related operational training
- Intermediate working knowledge of supply chain processes and/or operating procedures

Experience (Professional, Academic, Personal) - You have:

- 0-2 years of previous related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
