**Content Creator (Remote)**

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Director, the incumbent supports the marketing team with marketing materials for digital and print (social media, graphics, blogs, podcasts etc.). They work with the Marketing and Communications Director to develop marketing solutions that are well-designed, on time, and within budget.

We are looking for a camera-confident, engaging, self-motivated, team-player with a background in media management and social media to join our Marketing team and help us scale our digital footprint. The role will primarily be to support the social media & marketing team with content creation. This includes creating posts, reels, tweets, stories, TikToks etc. Creating graphics for various platforms & mediums including our webpage, event promotion, posters and other forms of branded content.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, create and deploy social media posts
- Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement
- Publish content according to social media calendar
- Edit & proofread content
- Supporting Social Media lead with weekly tasks
- Assist with Graphic Design work
- Brainstorming content ideas

**Other responsibilities**:
**Leadership and Management**
- Assist in the development and execution of the digital marketing strategy
- Assist in the development and execution of communication strategy
- Follow industry standards and ensure best practices are implemented and maintained
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support marketing and communications need to ensure consistency, brand compliance, and raise organizational profile

**Marketing/Digital**
- Assist in the implementation of marketing strategy in alignment with Penny Appeal Canada’s strategic plan
- Create content and designs that target a specific audience while remaining consistent with our brand’s style and voice.
- Work with the marketing team (MarComms team, copywriters, and other designers) to develop materials that speak to a target audience and generate a return on investment.
- Seek opportunities to build brand awareness
- Design, implement and manage campaigns with influencers

**Communications**
- Assist in the development of communications (ie: annual report, newsletter, pamphlets, mailers, videos, brochures, etc.)
- Partner with Programs Team to articulate projects and campaigns to external donors
- Assist in the implementation of communication strategy

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Previous experience as a social media manager, marketing associate and/or graphic designer
- Familiarity with social media and marketing strategies and ability to create attractive and engaging content
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator or any graphic design software.
- Video Editing skills using premiere pro, final cut pro, other any video editing software.
- Knowledge of Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledge of G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and Asana preferred
- Be comfortable with being in front of the camera
- Ability to design for print, web, and social media
- Understanding of how to make shareable content for social media platforms
- Ability to identify stories/creative that will connect with the audience.
- Creative mindset, ability to articulate projects in both written and visual format
- Engaging written and visual communication skills
- Must be eligible to work in Canada

**Compensation and Key Date**
