**Overview**
Ping DSP Inc is an internationally respected leader in the development and production of 3D imaging and hydrographic survey sonars and is seeking a talented **Spatial Sensing Scientist/Engineer** to join our growing team.

The position will involve:

- working together with other team members on new product designs
- developing sonar data analysis and test procedures for new products as well as improving efficiencies in production testing (e.g. in Matlab or python)
- developing sonar data processing methods and algorithms for improving spatial visualization and mapping data results (e.g. matlab or python)
- supporting in-house FEA analysis of acoustic transducers

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Sonar performance data processing and analysis**: Develop sonar data processing methods and procedures to validate new sonar designs and improve testing efficiency in production
- **Sonar Performance Models**:Develop mapping and imaging error models for Ping DSP sonar technology
- **Spatial sensing and visualization processing**: Develop sonar data processing methods and software in c++ and/or c# to advance underwater mapping and acoustic visualization capabilities using Ping DSP sonar data
- **Documentation & Reporting**: Document processing methods, data analyses and software developed. Publish general technical reports when appropriate.

**Qualifications**:

- **Graduate level degree** in Engineering or Physics
- Minimum **2 years experience** in c++ and/or c# programming
- **Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident**:

Pay: $1.00-$100.00 per hour
